FEATURED INSTRUCTOR

Ryan Knoll

Ryan served in law enforcement for the past 12 years with several large city departments. Ryan worked in patrol the majority of his law enforcement career until being selected for a proactive narcotic unit. In addition to those full time assignments, Ryan also held the position of firearms instructor and field training officer.

Ryan has completed numerous department and nationally recognized certification courses including: Handgun/Patrol Rifle/Shotgun/Less-lethal launcher instructor, Sage Dynamics red dot pistol instructor, Modern Samurai red dot pistol instructor and multiple armorer courses (Glock, Sig P320/516, S&W M&P, 37/40mm less-lethal launcher).  Ryan was a collegiate athlete, from that experience he developed a lifelong passion for physical training, skill tracking/progression, adult learning and maximizing performance. This passion led to him being selected to assist with the training of new hires, an assignment he excelled in until being chosen to take over the lead instructor role.

Ryan has extensive experience working with new shooters, diagnosing shooters with existing issues and programming training plans to push experienced shooters to the next level. Ryan’s instruction method is rooted in practical shooting concepts and eliminating inefficiencies.

At his most recent law enforcement agency, Ryan spearheaded the testing, policy/curriculum development  and implementation of red dot pistol sights at his department. His department was the first in the state to issue red dot sights to all new hires.
