Building Clearing Tactics Instructor

This instructor level course is designed to provide a foundational knowledge of basic tactical movements for clearing buildings and other structures, as well as strategies for teaching these tactics to officers in patrol and other operational environments.

Participants will learn to safely and efficiently search a structure for suspects while limiting exposure to threats. This simple, but effective method is based on techniques used by Tier 1 special operations personnel and optimized for rapid learning and use by law enforcement. The instructors have successfully utilized these tactics in a wide variety of real-world scenarios including burglaries and other patrol calls for service, search warrant execution, tactical slow search, and hostage rescue. Experience has proven this method to enhance officer safety, decrease use-of-force, and limit liability.

BCTI was created for patrol officers and instructors for patrol operations, tactical teams, specialty units, or task forces seeking to update or enhance their tactics for clearing buildings. In a fun, hands-on environment, participants will learn the concepts in a proven training progression designed for maximum skill retention. Effective methods of instruction will be emphasized throughout the course, and instructors will provide knowledge transfer strategies for the end-user from each team or agency. Participants will receive training materials, including customizable lesson plans, presentations, and instructional videos to create their own training program.

Agencies are encouraged to send at least two officers to enhance team objectives and provide optimized training for the end-user.

BCTI is guaranteed to enhance the individual tactical proficiency and teaching ability of all participants!
