Emily Jepson
Instructor
Sergeant Emily Jepson has been a police officer since 2015. She has worked in patrol for a majority of her career with a year serving as the community engagement officer. Emily was awarded Officer of the Year in 2021 at her agency for her commitment to community engagement and peer support. Her collateral duties have included crisis negotiator, field training officer (FTO), use-of-force instructor, peer support team leader and wellness coordinator.
Emily has been training martial arts since 2011 and holds a purple rank in Muay Thai under The Academy head coach, Greg Nelson. She has diversified her martial arts experience to include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Emily received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Scandinavian Studies and Global Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2011. Emily worked in the non-profit sector serving adults with disabilities until earning her Law Enforcement Certificate from Metropolitan State University in 2015. Emily has been an instructor with STORM Training Group since 2023.
