June 16, 2025 @ 8:00 am - June 18, 2025 @ 4:00 pm
| $699.00The Building Clearing Tactics Instructor (BCTI) course provides law enforcement instructors with foundational knowledge of tactical movements for clearing buildings and structures, along with strategies for effectively teaching these tactics in patrol and operational environments.
This is a 3-day course approved for 21 Minnesota POST credits.
Participants will learn to safely and efficiently search structures for suspects while minimizing exposure to threats. This method is based on techniques used by Tier 1 special operations personnel and optimized for rapid learning and use by law enforcement.
Instructors bring real-world experience applying these tactics in diverse scenarios, including burglaries, patrol calls, search warrant execution, tactical slow searches, and hostage rescues. Proven in practice, these methods enhance officer safety, reduce use of force, and limit liability.
BCTI is designed for patrol officers, tactical teams, specialty units, and task forces who want to expand their clearing tactics and teaching skills. In addition to hands-on tactical training, the course emphasizes instructional methods and knowledge transfer strategies for use at the agency level. Participants will receive lesson plans, presentations, and instructional videos to assist in creating their own training programs.
Agencies are encouraged to send at least two officers to maximize team objectives and improve training outcomes for their agency.
