This course is MN POST accredited for 7 hours of continuing education credit.
This introductory drone course will examine the most important laws, applications and safety protocols for first responder drone programs. This training will assist your drone team in establishing a program from the ground up or improve your existing program. Learn how to get in the air with a firm understanding of tactics, techniques and procedures for drone management and implementation.
Attendees will learn the following:
- FAA Waivers and Regulations, Part 107 vs. COA
- Drone terminology and implementation considerations
- When and when not to fly
- Drone hardware orientation
- Drone software orientation
- Focus on communication and situational awareness.
- Drone policy considerations and templates
- Understand drone functions and capabilities
