October 14, 2025 @ 8:00 am - October 17, 2025 @ 4:00 pm
| $999.00The Foundation Instructor Trainer Level 2 (FIT2) Intermediate course builds upon the knowledge base of existing use of force instructors. This advanced certification is available exclusively to those who have completed a STORM Foundation Instructor Trainer (FIT) course within the past two years.
This course is approved for 28 Minnesota POST credits.
This comprehensive 4-day program certifies instructors in baton, spray irritant, handcuffing, and soft empty-hand techniques while significantly expanding beyond the foundation curriculum. Participants will refresh their knowledge of proven control methods while learning advanced techniques not covered in the original FIT course.
This training takes instructor skills to the next level, teaching practical methods for addressing everything from passive to aggressive resistance. The curriculum emphasizes integration of force tools and smooth transitioning between options based on subject behavior.
Beyond physical techniques, the course develops more effective communicators, trainers, and mentors. Traditional teaching methods often result in just 20% knowledge retention. Our training uses modern adult learning principles to maximize retention and real-world performance. Participants gain advanced knowledge in technique progression and curriculum development to elevate their agency’s training program.
